It refers to either a limited time reward structure where you pay for the ability to earn rewards such as cosmetics or other perks in multiplayer games such Fortnite and Valorant (If you don't earn the needed XP within the designated timeframe then you may not even get those rewards you paid for) or access to DLC content in general for both single and multiplayer games where some functionality/maps/modes are gated behind a single or recurring payment.
Some RNG manips are straight up harder than just hunting them in SV tbh. Anyone can get/buy a Pokemon Home account with 1000 genned shinies if they wanted to so it's up to you to determine what you consider "legit". I enjoy hitting timing required to get shinies through RNG manips so I do it. Some people think gen 9 shinies are too "cheap" and others don't use shiny charms and only hunt full odds (but still hunt on multiple systems at once for whatever reason). It's a weird rabbithole to go down so just do what you want. No one is going to grade your shinies.

Yes, Trump and his ilk are horrible for Americans and world stability. That has been the case for a decade unfortunately the opposition hasn't been able to garner enough votes to beat an incredibly unpopular candidate by forcing even more unpopular candidates on people for 3 consecutive elections. Blame people who voted for Trump for him being in office but don't blame people who did not vote for his opposition for the opposition's failure to provide compelling candidates. It's no different than Trump blaming the EU for not buying more US products.

So the Knoxx DLC is notorious for being a driving simulator and BL1 DLC not having any fast travel stations except for the starting areas makes farming very tedious. Fortunately, there are ways around that on PC:

Go to save data location eg.

Open WillowEngine.ini. Search for

Launch game

Open Pause menu -> Options -> Mouse and Keyboard -> Keybindings -> Bind Fast travel to Craw/Knoxx Armory to whatever button
Notes: If you travel with the bind and are done with the area make sure you save quit instead of just traveling to it again as that will not save your current progress\
Also binding Fast Travel UI lets you fast travel from anywhere which is a big QoL improvement.

Another map you can replace is 'Arid_Cave_P.umap' which corresponds to The Lost Cave. You can use any map as a replacement but those are just the ones I've used before.
Note: the gondola file for Ajax may only work for the remaster or there may be a better one to use for the original if you search the large .umap files for yourself and try each one you might be able to find one that spawns you right in front of his area in the original version of BL1
