Tamako market and love story do seem to be a bit underrated and not much attention is given to it online. I finished Tamako market and love story not long ago. It's in the rotation now so once in a while I'll post some Tamako art.

Shiori best girl?

  • aaaaah the colours the animation aaah
  • very Nichijou like humour as expected
  • at 7:29 they employ one of my favorites: calligraphy/font annotated speech
  • the city overviews are wonderful, always like when anime zooms out
  • at 8:30 there is a split screen, I only know of Lucky Star having done that before (also Kyouani)
  • artist/editor interaction, reminds me of Gochuumon wa Usagi desuka?
  • at 10:31 the "armless form" appears, previously seen in Nichijou and Azumanga Daioh. Seen the greats but not popular broadly in anime?
  • the "action scenes" like the wine cork scene are very much like Nichijou (like the Yukko/Mio sausage scene)
  • the sections with small interludes betwixed, a la Nichijou. However the sections seem to smoothly connect to each other before going off into their own direction. This adds a lot of world building and making the location feel real and alive.
  • It is interesting to see how this fleshing out of the location continues. Another anime that takes place in a relatively small town and in which that location is quite important to whole is Aria, which does that very successfully.
  • Wako is a real wacko, god bless her soul
  • It's EP 1 and we already have a broccoli scene. Truly Nichijou 2.0 in spirit.

Excited for City obviously. The Nichijou community is also the City community: !nichijou@lemmy.world.

Finished Binzume Yousei. It's an old educational anime for children. I don't think I learned anything new but the fairies were cute and the OP is kinda fire. It has one of my favorite oddly specific events: children learning about the cycle of life. It's a wholesome anime, recommended for true moe enjoyers.

He has a very large audience of regular people so if he promotes Linux, free software and privacy then this is a very good thing. The community wants adoption but as soon as regular people try their hand at it there is always something to complain about. We'll never get anywhere with behaviour like this. Wider adaption means that many people you don't like will participate as well. I haven't seen this video though so I don't know if he does a good job or not.

I had heard that name before, and for some reason I had categorised it in my head along with my hero academia and other popular shows I had no interest in. After looking it up because of this post I was rather wrong. Still no interest though.

Nichijou. The art is real good, the structure is interesting and it has some subtle moments that make it really shine. Many refer to the crazy moments and the comedy but it's so much more in my opinion. In shared second place I have Lucky Star and Hidamari Sketch.

As a note, deciding your favorite anime or ranking anime is quite difficult. I watched Nichijou years ago. Over time I watch more anime. I rate purely based on emotions, nothing objective. How I feel about it. But comparing that across years is very tricky.

Also, discussion posts are more than welcome.

I don't know many but I just finished Tamako love story and my heart is full. Definitely too sweet to be real, just how I like it.

I don't really rewatch things because there is still so much more things to watch that I haven't and there is limited time to watch anime. I have rewatched Non Non Biyori's first episode a few times. The first minutes are really good and I really like the cherry blossom tree scene including the build up to it. I don't have a dedicated time in the year to watch it though.

There seem to be way more people that keep saying that they hate Arch users who keep saying that they use Arch than Arch users that keep saying that they use Arch.
