Happy Halloween!

This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.
This community is for posts about Marxism and geopolitics (including shitposts to some extent). Serious posts can be posted here or in /c/GenZhou. Reactionary or ultra-leftist cringe posts belong in /c/shitreactionariessay or /c/shitultrassay respectively.
We have a Matrix homeserver and a Matrix space. See this thread for more information. If you believe the server may be down, check the status on status.elara.ws.
Rules:
- No bigotry, anti-communism, pro-imperialism or ultra-leftism (anti-AES)
- We support indigenous liberation as the primary contradiction in settler colonies like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Israel
- If you post an archived link (excluding archive.org), include the URL of the original article as well
- Unless it's an obvious shitpost, include relevant sources
- For articles behind paywalls, try to include the text in the post
- Mark all posts containing NSFW images as NSFW (including things like Nazi imagery)
I was looking through the flags of the SSRs. It's a collection that spans from beautiful to horrendous, imo. Georgia is cool because it kind of hurts my eyes to look at, but in a good way, I think. Waves on flags looks pretty good. Some of my favourite are in the "other republics" section, Bhukharan and Transcaucasia.
edit: cw: eye strain
Georgia is my least favorate because it always hurts my eyes and gives me a headache
How careless of me. Added a cw. My bad.
Already working on my next epub (could be a few months before I'm done): This Soviet World by Anna Louise Strong.
How do you go about doing these? Do you convert the PDF with something like Calibre then read it through to fix the typos, etc, and add tags (html tags)?
In this case I used OCRMyPDF to get text out of the PDF (Calibre doesn't do that), and then I'll create an empty EPUB in Calibre and import the text slowly, going through it with the PDF open to ensure it is correct, then finally add tags.

I can't decide so I'm gonna ask you: External link (to marxists.org) inside the EPUB?
Hmm... I'd maybe include the URL but not make it a hyperlink? I'd be worried about the security if there were links in the text. I don't know whether there is a security risk, but I'd want to play it safe.
That's awesome. I enjoy doing this kind of stuff if you have a backlog and want someone to convert a few books I'm happy to help.
If you want to, do help, it's a tiny project of mine, very... creatively... called "Comrades Library" and I'm just trying to create EPUBs of stuff, so there will always be something on the backlog. Maos Five Essays is currently the only one my list.

Remain calm. Izuru endures. Junko lives. The Imperium of Despair shall endure. There is much to be done.

Man, I thought my dried magic mushrooms would be ruined after sitting in my shed for three years.
I made a lemon tek shot with around 3.5 grams of the shrooms and held my nose while drinking the nasty sludge. I love mushrooms, but god damn i hate the taste.
I plopped down in the bed, turned off the lights and put on some music while waiting to see if anything would happen.
For the first ten minutes, all i could feel was a tingling sensation in my teeth and I bounce my feet to the music.
Then, suddenly, my vision got filled with millions of brightly colored ribbons of light that exploded like fireworks in my head and formed immense landscapes of sparkling rays of color that created constantly changing patterns that danced and changed with the music.
I lost myself entirely and became a being of pure light and merged with the eternal waves of dancing lights and ribbons.
Everything that made up me disappeared and I was one with the beautiful cosmic explosions of pure color. No worries, no cares, just vibing with the infinite universe and drifting around endless worlds filled with bright, dancing colors.
As the trip faded, I fell asleep for 14 hours and woke up at 18:00, cooked some food and wondering how much I've fucked up my sleep schedule now.
10/10. It was an awesome experience.
