If anyone wants a store bought spring roll for the snack HMU...

Kinda don't know how long but within the hour (depends on the burner a few have been acting up!).

Looks like the rain-free morning that was predicted has not eventuated. On the positive side, it looks like a sunny weekend ahead, which will make a lot of people happy.

Looking at the rain radar it appears my area might be spared the worse.

Just discovered the cover from the outdoor set has just vanished into thin air... Asked the neighbours if they'd seen it, looked in alley behind the house, the things just gone! It's wigging the housemate and I out.

I'm in training today and for the rest of the week. I love training but I am struggling to keep my eyes open :(

Wish I didn't have to have my camera on, I could listen along and close my eyes.

Managed a 5km run this morning even though I was up through the night with a vomiting kiddo. Oh boy was it hard to drag myself out of bed and through at least the first 10 minutes, but that endorphin thing is real and I feel great now. I feel like I may have gotten over the can't be arsed hurdle that's hindered me before.

Following on from my creepy experience, has anyone watched the show 'From'?

I binged it in a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's super creepy but a lot of mystery that leaves me wanting to know more. It's on Stan atm.

Anyone in a position to expedite a Police check? Need boyo back in work so he’s out of the house so I can sew his damn birthday present!

[–] Eagle@aussie.zone 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Our work uses one that is pretty much instant, I think its called Crim Check.

Really? This time it’s been a week. Stupid public holiday, and having a very common legal name I guess.

[–] cuppaconcrete@aussie.zone 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah I sympathise for all the Mark Reeds or Alan Bonds that have to get background checks lol

Friend has invited me to come along with them for Folk Rhythm and Life festival this year, I confess I have never been to a music festival in my life so I'm keen to go even though I'm worried I might be a deadweight at first - been ages since I've gone camping either. Maybe if I rented a campervan??

PS I am really not going to be ready for this apparently shithouse weather when I get back, I've been driving around with sun streaming, windows down, two showers a day, fan on at night...

The ants are gone from the entry point at the window. I don't think they took the bait though. They were easily startled but soon back and in greater numbers. (ie they are now riding single file under the door and they've found the bin.)

Coles order is due tomorrow with the Ant Rid ☠️ Might put it on the high windowsill and/or outside the door so a small hairy person doesn't step in it
