(Sidebar still a work in progress post recommendations if you have them such as reading lists)
AOC's comment on her vote
No it cuts off "defensive" weapons. Which do not exist under international law. According to international law all weapons to Israel should be banned.

In my opinion, we shouldn't be supporting Israel in any shape or form. It's on the Israeli government to stop what its doing and make moves towards peace so no missiles are launched.
BS. AOC voted against any bill that provided assistance to Israel.
You're full of shit.
Fuck Israel, genocidal scum!
Op is simply doing Republican jobs for them. AOC is quite clear in her reasoning and op still wants one of the most progressive people in the house out.
Not convinced theyre not rooting for Republicans. Noting but BS posts the past couple days, minimum.
This seems pretty divisive in American politics for multiple reasons
Yeah the division is between people supporting genocide and people not supporting genocide.
Must suck for non genocidal democrats who have no option but to ignore this next year during campaigning; logically realizing they must minimize these issues to help fight against the worse Republicans
The very same strategy that got them where they are.
You mean the strategy that just helped to cost them an election?
No it's going to suck for the genocide Democrats losing their reelection because they wanted to support genocide.
But most of them will not loose their reelection.
That remains to be seen
Who should we support than?
Who do I vote for on the midterms?
Al Green
Summer Lee
Ilhan Omar
Rashida Tlaib.
Al Green voted for H. Res. 771 which states that the House of Representatives: "stands with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists" and "reaffirms the United States' commitment to Israel's security".
You think that’s the kind of person I should be voting for?
When was this?
Killing civilians is never okay. It is not okay when Israel does it to occupy more land. And it is not okay either when Hamas does it to stop that. If we think it's okay for one side, then they just get on the same level.
You would have condemned the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.
Israelis all serve in the IDF, making them all valid targets. The only ones that don't, are far right zealots that shout for other Israelis to commit geonicide. Many of them are also settlers who engage in horrendous pogroms, supported by the state, IDF, and populace at large. Finally, the oppressed owe their oppressors no quarter and are not required to play respectability games or pass purity tests. They can't afford to, their very futures depend on it.
