All that we are deleting the comment thing really annoys me. They even link your post in the "you have been banned" notice. And it leads to exactly nothing because at the same moment they delete your post. What's the point of linking said post if it's not available any longer. It's easy to be in a progressive country like Canada and praise the Soviet Union or Russia. I think deep down they know that they'd have a miserable life in Russia or China, so at best they make up reasons for why they can't move, even though the power of the passports and wages in the countries most of them are from allows them to easily do that, which can't be said about Russian or Chinese citizens trying to get a visa to even travel to one of the Western countries.
US military recruiting also highlights free college and safe high pay. But the fine print enslaves you to "Mobile infantry will make you the man I am today."

As a vet, tRump doing this pissed me off almost as much as anything else he did in his first term. Some of the most ardent service(wo)men I served with were part of this program around 2006-ish. Many of them stayed in past their required terms (which I think had to be 8-years if I'm not mistaken), unlike myself and others looking to get through college debt-free.
If you're willing to put your life on the line for a country you aren't currently a citizen of, you deserve to be a citizen of that country on the other side of that service.
