Not even deport. She already lives in Ireland. He's threatening to take away her citizenship. Which to her means almost nothing. To the rest of us, that sets an extremely scary precedent. The only thing keeping us out of prisons in El Salvador is our citizenship. If he is given the ability to remove that, he can make anyone he wants dissappear.
The lack of due process is already functionally invalidating citizenship. If they claim youre illegal, and you dont get a chance to prove it, welp, guess youre illegal now byebye
Right, it's already a very thin protection. However it would be hard to claim someone like AOC is an illegal immigrant because she's such a public figure. If he can just revoke the citizenship, nothing protects his opposition.
