Ok, now that i’ve found my pen, what was I supposed to write down again?

Stay focused.

Came here for exactly that. What was it again?

I learned a long time ago I don't even need to keep the note around; writing it down is generally enough to remember. It's like the act of writing it down to paper etches it in my memory at the same time.

5s in generous. I’ll switch tabs and it’s gone into the ether.

Pro life tip: if you don’t think you need to keep info long term, but you need it for a short time, your browser address bar works super well to temporarily keep info you have no reason to save beyond like 20 min.

You can save it if you want, but the default is to search for it and that won’t do diggity dog shit if you are looking for a company.

I wouldn't recommend this for any information you would like to keep private, as most browsers send everyting entered into the address bar to a search engine by default. But otherwise that would definitely work.

I personally often open a text editor and put the information in there without saving it in a file.

this is why I like email above all else. if your going to communicate with me and this includes me, then make it a text format I can search.

I have a shipping list app, and it's quite often the case that I forget to add things to it, and only remember once I come back from shopping. Really I just need to find an app that works on both my phone and my watch, since at least I always have my watch on me and could just add to it when I think of something instead of having to remember to add it to my phone later.
