Wait! I'm not with THEM! There's an unfortunately loud part of the country that is giving the GOP, conservatives, and Americans a bad name. This comm is for the rest of us, the quiet majority. If there is anything worth conserving, it's our values: Respect, Integrity, and Truth.

This comm is for the posting about US politics from a right, but not alt-right, perspective.

Rules:

  1. Treat each other with respect. Follow lemmy.today instance rules. Follow your instance rules.
  2. Social media posts must either include a timestamp in the image or be accompanied by a timestamp in the text of the post. Posts with an inaccurate or missing timestamp will be removed. Relative timestamp (e.g. "5 mins ago") will be removed.
  3. Only use high quality news sources. They all have bias, but quality and truth are a requirement. News articles must have a non-fictitious, non-anonymized byline. Fox is not a high quality news source.
  4. Don't post memes, but you can comment with them.

I'm glad we got rid of the old guy that did a bunch of shit to help average Americans and replaced him with another old guy who is a felon rapist and potential pedo who we already impeached twice and is only serving the interests of the grotesquely wealthy.

Looking reeeeeeal smart America.

Huge amounts of money are being spent to break the system.

This is all 2000 coming home to roost. We let the courts decide the election. That's what I'd write on the toe tag anyway

Symptoms of dementia flare up under stress.

Looks like the Epstein scandal is really getting to him.

[–] BigMacHole@sopuli.xyz 57 points 1 day ago (1 children)

LoL He has TDS!

Trump Dementia Syndrome. It's like regular dementia but more racist and rapey.

[–] Pandantic@midwest.social 43 points 1 day ago (6 children)

I don’t get why anyone would brag about their uncle teaching Ted Kaczynski. Like, what?

[–] BetaBlake@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Because Trump is a fame whore he has always loved any connection too Fame and celebrity even if it's infamy, it's still seen as cool to him.

Sociopathic malignant narcissist does not care about the downstream of anything only the viewpoint of the here and now.

I'm surprised he never claimed to have personally known the late, great Hannibal Lecter as much as he used to bring him up.

"He's a great, just a great doctor, very talented, very knowledgeable, many say, a lot of clever people, very clever people who know a lot, they say he's maybe the best mind doctor, the best, definitely, head-mending doctor, and I know, I know him, he's a great friend, and people say did I need a shrink, which is funny really, he said I have the greatest sanity, I'm more sane, than the sanest he's ever seen and, truly, he's a super clever guy, smart, real smart, a lot of people say so, and I didn't need to see him but we're just friends, we have dinner together and did I mention he's such a good cook, I mean Michelin stars, this guy should have Goodyear stars, right, buy American, but anyway, he cooks so good and he said I have the best mental balance of anyone he's ever met and he knows, he knows, I mean he's the expert in... in... expert in... expert...covfefe."

Trump does sound like somebody who is talking while his own brain is being fed to him.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He also bragged that he owned the tallest building in New York after 9/11.

He's a felon rapist, potential child fucker, and all around trashcan of a human being.

And conservatives identify with him.

Typical dementia induced rambling. No point trying to make sense of it.

Same stream of consciousness rambling that old senile fuckers always do.

"When I was a young man, snickers were a nickel and people minded their own damn business! When somone beat their child, you said, 'Good for them! That'll teach 'em!'. And when they got a little too handsy with their daughter's little friends you looked the other way and pray for them because he was a deacon at the church. Cary Grant once came to town and took a shit in the Piggly Wiggly restroom down the street. I used to play Eucre with Reagan's third cousin, and that bastard cheated every damn time... what year is it?"

Biden did do this. Toward the end, he was a fucking mess.

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

We don't need to imagine, we all saw it happen and we all got told by the party to shut the fuck up, ignore our lying eyes and vote for genocide

[–] mathemachristian@hexbear.net 5 points 1 day ago

Never forget that what did biden in wasn't his genocide but a bad tv performance. The greatest sin in Amerikkka is a bad tv performance.

Folks, let me tell you, the Industrial Revolution – a disaster, plain and simple! They talk about life expectancy, sure, they say it's up in these "advanced" countries. But believe me, it's a sham! It's destabilized everything. It's made life, frankly, unfulfilling. People are suffering, psychologically, and in the Third World, physically too. And the environment? A mess, a total disaster, just like so many things these days.

And the technology, folks, the technology they keep pushing? It's only going to get worse, believe me! More indignities, more damage to our beautiful natural world. It's going to lead to more social disruption, more psychological suffering – it could even lead to physical suffering right here in our "advanced" countries! We need to make America great again, and part of that is looking at these things very, very carefully. It's a tremendous problem, and we're going to fix it. We really are.

He’s so angry lately. This could be indicative of the descent into Alzheimer’s. We will never know.

How long did it take for Reagan’s Alzheimer’s to be officially publicized?

  • Delivered a Rambling Speech

  • Falsely asserted some random trivia that's easily disproven with even cursory background research

  • Completely forgot the names / positions of key staffers in his administration

  • Concerns about senility

Truly, imagine if Biden had fallen victim to any of these. Doubt he would have survived re-election.

[–] UnwittingSenior@lemmy.today 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Trump did these things in 2016 as well and here we are

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Sure. And then Hillary tripped stepping off a plane, ordered pizza like a pedophile, and pissed off half the Midwest by defending NAFTA.

Even then, so much of this just boils down to which media you're consuming. Jon Stewart is slightly more critical of Donald Trump than Ben Garrison. Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity spend 25 hours every day screaming "The Migrants Are Coming! The Migrants are Coming!" while The Economist mostly wants to talk about how cool it is that people want to move here.

Look at the NYC Mayoral Race. Every newspaper in the country was running "Mamdani Did 9/11" tier headlines for months, but he still won in a landslide with a base that tuned them out and just followed him on Instagram.

A lot of these critiques are superficial and ultimately forgivable when the candidate in question champions policies you support.

[–] pjwestin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I mean, Biden's, "Corn Pop," speech happened in 2019 and he was still elected. I'm not trying to say they're the same morally (or even in terms of competency), but if the point is, "Can you imagine if Democrats elected a rambling, senile old man," well...yeah, I can.

[–] TotalBrownout@hexbear.net 13 points 1 day ago

Typical Trump… pandering to environmentalists.
