honey he is cheating, he's fucking your dad

[–] asaharyev@hexbear.net 1 points 4 years ago* (last edited 4 years ago) (1 children)

It took me far too long to realize that sex with your dad was a cumtown bit, and so I immediately had to stop using it.

if you’ve heard something funny at any point in the last 4 years odds are its a cum town bit

Credit where credit is due, Nick Mullen does an incredible Michael Douglas impression

nothing makes me post harder and be more dispised than the hard times. This is their funniest page though

They are really funny when they go on other shows, but the actual pod is best summed up with:

"Huhhhuhuhuhuh... uhuhuhuh... Balls. Huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuuhuuh. Huhuhuhuuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh. Balls."

I'm pretty sure the founder of The Hard Times was in a band with Brace at one point

[–] tg4414@hexbear.net 0 points 4 years ago (1 children)

Brace is good friends and was in a band with one of the current drummers in Oh Sees

[–] GVAGUY3@hexbear.net 1 points 4 years ago* (last edited 4 years ago)

Yeah Dan DJ'ed at their LA show and was on one of Yung Chomsky's streams. Then Brace joined and they told some stories. Also, Oh Sees are probably my favorite band ever and are awesome people.

It's pretty funny. I wouldn't call it great I guess. I know I shouldn't be laughing but I do anyway. It's pretty easy to see why it attracts shitty people and probably reinforces their shitty beliefs. They also just do the same like 5 bits over and over again. I have no idea why anyone would pay for their premium content. I guess I like it because it reminds me of hanging out with my friends in middle school trying to think of the stupidest shit in the world to make each other laugh.

Exactly. I can’t cram intellectual information in my head all day every day. Listening to cumtown and just shutting my brain off and drooling is relaxing

I think their appeal is similar to Felix's appeal. They're mostly for guys born in 1988-1992 who want to live in 2004-2007 again.

[–] Phish@hexbear.net 1 points 4 years ago

Yeah I think that's exactly right. There's definitely the parasocial element as well, especially since those jokes are taboo in real life conversation these days.

[–] Crucible@hexbear.net 1 points 4 years ago

You don't have to call me out like this

[–] yikesmydude@hexbear.net 0 points 4 years ago (1 children)

I know I shouldn’t be laughing but I do anyway.

jesus christ

[–] Phish@hexbear.net 1 points 4 years ago (1 children)

What? You've never laughed at a guy taking a football to the groin or something?

[–] yikesmydude@hexbear.net 1 points 4 years ago

I do, and then I flagellate myself because I know it's forbidden
