Well I haven't seen Eminence in Shadow but I can tell you that it's quite satirical in how it handles both anime and western wizard tropes. Plays a lot on some of the overdone tropes from things like harry potter. i wouldn't say it does any of this in a genius way, but I find it quite entertaining.

Haha I've actually seen that video, Gigguk is a good watch every once in a while. I may pick it up later :)
