A few years ago, you tweeted out how your friend worked on “The Slap” TV show, and how he was responsible for coming up with a list of fake jazz artists albums for the show. That list you tweeted was some of the funniest shit I’ve ever seen. But when I go back through your twitter account I can’t find it. Please retweet. Thank you kindly.

Are we still fans? I was under the impression that the subwide consensus was that they were revisionists and/or libs.

I still listen to every episode, I’m not expecting great political theory or anything though I just like listening to people roast columnists

[–] cynesthesia@hexbear.net 18 points 2 years ago

Likewise. The victims of columnists list can't come soon enough. In the meantime, I can count on chapo to call out these monsters

they’re occasionally funny clowns, it’s just a podcast. When I found the subreddit I didn’t even know the podcast existed tbh

i find them incredibly annoying
they're rich pricks from brooklyn ffs
i listened to two episodes after i found the subreddit
completely intolerable to me

I don't listen to cth itself anymore but Hell of Presidents and Hell on Earth were fun.

they're fairly tolerable IMO. they're on my side of the mental fence I've drawn up between the Left proper and the socdems/radlibs. if you accept that they're only here to be entertainment for mostly American (and certainly Western) news and events then one might even call them good; Felix is still in like the top 3 funniest people I've ever listened to. I don't listen to them anymore but it's not out of any particular malice, though I would probably cringe any time they start talking about international events, I just have no niche for them in my media consumption any more.

They have bad takes but they're still pretty funny IMO.

Sure. They do good movie episodes

they're my funny radio fellas, and i like when they talk about the CIA

[–] D61@hexbear.net 8 points 2 years ago

Its good background noise most of the time.

I'm too old and not online enough to get about half of what they talk about. The other half is usually pretty good listening. Its just that the shit bits and the good bits are all mixed together so it'll depend on your tolerance for waiting for bad bits to end and good content to begin.
