It means the rule of the people/majority. Same as how the dictionary defines it.
You know that Capitalism is the total opposite of democracy, right? Only the CEOs and investors get to decide how the economy functions. In socialism, since the workers own the means of production, everyone gets to vote on how the means of production get used. You keep using democracy in an analogy for an anti-democratic system which is capitalism.
You are clearly missing the point here. I'm not comparing democracy to capitalism; I was comparing the quote about democracy to the quote in the comic. 🙄
The simple terms of that sentiment: Capitalism is bad, but it's still better than other things that are worse.
If this is still confusing, then there's no point in continuing this discussion, since I'm not going to be able to dumb it down any further than that for you.
