So he was stupid enough to move to Russia, and she was stupid enough to take her kids and go with him.
As it turns out, being wilfully stupid can be fatal.

He already reproduced. At this point natural selection only cares about the fate of his children
You can get a DA if your actions lead to your children not reproducing, but generally DAs are not awarded if you kill someone else.
So if his kids die in a Russian trench before reproducing, he would be eligible for a DA. A this time I'd give him a Honorable Mention at most.
Edit : Their sons from different marriages opted to stay behind in the US. This would be a HM at best.
Well, looks like the children's fate will also be Russian cannon fodder at this rate...
What's the term for when your stupidity destroys your kid's chances of reproduction? A Darwin award once removed?
I just call them Conservative
His actions could still impact the offspring's survival, Thus it would be evolutionary beneficial to not fuck up your offspring's future by moving to Russia.
He is cannon fodder, and his children will be too in a few years. So sad.
I do feel bad for the kids. It’s not their fault that their parents are fucking idiots.
