It definitely feels like human civilization as we know it is nearing its end, be it from climate change or ww3, so probably that.

Yeah, turns out the SMOC, the Antarctic version of the AMOC... altogether, the global system of how heat, nutrients, salt, carbon how they all flow through the world's oceans?

Yeah, the SMOC collapsed a decade ago.

We didn't notice till literally a few days ago.

Climate is doomed, we can't fix the oceans.

We already blew through the 1.5C target a couple years ago now.

Media just doesn't talk about it anymore.

Worse climate = increased international tensions, everything is harder for everyone, migration becomes necessary for survival from really badly hit places, but no one will want to let them all in.

In a decade, 1/3 of the US will be uninsurable, no home insurance, too many disasters.

Trump's insane policies are going to cause a famine if he doesn't reverse course on ICE raids, and cuts to medicare, food stamps, section 8, will kill millions.
