I am sorry to report that I am a woman and have safely and confidentially caught countless spiders and insects in houses, apartments and even in public transport and released them outside.

Don’t do it as much anymore since I’m with my current partner though. My (male) ex was pretty arachnophobic. With my current partner we kind of just cohabitate with the spiders as long as they don’t jump scare us in weird places.
