My friends mom survived the Khmer Rouge and its like unbelievable to me that she's a relatively normal person today despite the trauma

Her dad's family fled Vietnam for Cambodia during the American invasion just to also get fucked during the Khmer Rouge

The funny thing is, Cambodia fell first before South Vietnam did...
