I think it could've been much worse. At least this is kind of funny because it's such a bizarre closeup of the MC and not some dakimakura objectifying booba thing.

The show (manga too? IDK) ripped off Toriyama's Dragon Quest designs. Looks stupid getting the human version of the MC's face. Like who wouldn't prefer just a normal green slime like these ones below?
